Latest kernel development

Postby tuxq » Thu Mar 10, 2005 6:39 am

What are GRSec's plans for the new kernels? 2.6.y.z and so on?
Will there be a page saying if they're compatible?
Apparently with the very little changing of code, they more than likely are.
But, I'd just like to hear it from GRSec. Through the grapevine, this is the new development model for the 2.6 Linux kernel. I may be mistaken, so please correct me if I'm wrong.
But anyway, what's the word?

I'll roll the .x.y changes into the grsecurity patch for 2.6.x whenever a new version of the .x.y patch is release. I've done this for 2.6.11.1 and 2.6.11.2 already.

Why aren't you setting the EXTRAVERSION to .2-grsec then?

Yeah ... The "Uploaded Time:" thing is not really suitable for notification of updates. Just an opinion though.
